BEAUTY TIP: MINI MANI AT HOME

Since this is a time when ladies are cutting back on their sessions at the salon, I've put together 10 easy steps for doing your own "Mini Mani" at home.

I hope this helps you and your pocket!

Step 1. Wash your hands in luke warm water.

Step 2. Using nail polish remover, remove any polish or oil from the nail.

Step 3. File your nails straight across for for a nice square look.

Step 4. File the sides of your nail.

Step 5. Your nail now has sharp edges. Using a buffer, file those sharp edges down just enough to take the  sharpness away.

Step 6. Continue with the buffer to file your nail beds. (This removes any yellowness, or ridges you may have on your nail.)

Step 7. Push your cuticles back. (I don't prefer cutting cuticles, but if you feel safe doing so, go for it.)

Step 8. Wash your hands and scrub your nails with a nail brush.

Step 9. Polish your nails. Apply two coats to get the true polish color. (For a natural looking manicure I use OPI's "Mimosas for Mr. & Mrs.")

Step 10. After about 5 minutes, add a clear coat of polish.

***Tip: For longer lasting nail polish, add a clear coat every other day.

BEAUTY TIP: BEST CONCEALER FINISH

When applying concealer, I like to apply it AFTER applying foundation and a setting powder. Blend it wherever you may need to (under eyes and noticeable blemishes). Blend with your ring finger if you are not using a brush. A key to concealing is also blending, so blend WELL. Follow this with a final bit of pressed or loose powder, and you are set!

Remember: The most important thing to learn when it comes to makeup is how to create a fresh and flawless skin complexion. EVENLY toned.

Here are the products that I use for this application:

BEAUTY TIP: FLAWLESS FACE

Lately I've been getting a lot of questions about what makeup product has the best coverage, but is also light on your skin. This is it! One of my favorite makeup products. I use Liquid Minerals on brides or just about anyone looking for that flawless look. Check online for locations that sell it in your area.

"The look is moist and light. The feel is like a second skin. A light-reflecting, mineral foundation in a special liquid formulation. The beads are actually liposomes entrapping liposomes. This state-of-the-art technology enables us to encapsulate large amounts of active ingredients, which are then time-released into the skin. The spheres are suspended in a gel of aloe vera and vegetable glycerin. Makeup and skin care in one bottle!
